10 Afghan Policemen Killed in Helmand Blast
"At least ten Afghan policemen were killed in a roadside bomb blast in southern Helmand province on Thursday, local officials said.
The incident took place in Nad Ali district when a police vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb, Dawood Ahmadi, a spokesman for the provincial governor said.
Insurgents use Improvised Explosive Devices to target Afghan and foreign troops, but the victims of such attacks are often civilians."
Two Nato Soldiers Die in Afghan Shootout
"An individual wearing Afghan National Army uniform opened fire on Nato troops in eastern Afghanistan on Thursday killing two service members, Isaf said in a statement.
It comes as two ANA soldiers had recently opened fire on Nato soldiers in western Farah province, but no one was hurt, the incidents raise fears of Taliban infiltration inside Afghan security forces.
Meanwhile, French government confirmed the incident and said that an Afghan army soldier shot and killed two French troops today.
France currently has around 3,800 troops in Afghanistan and it has lost 78 soldiers in the Afghan war.
The French government will withdrawal all its troops from Afghanistan by the end of 2014."
Roadside Bomb Wounds Afghan Border Policemen in Nangarhar
"Two Afghan border policemen were wounded in a roadside bomb in eastern Nangarhar province on Thursday, police officials said.
The incident took place in Bati Kot district of Nangarhar province today morning when their vehicle was struck by a roadside bomb, Idris Mohmand, an Afghan police official in the province said.
Bati Kot is one of the insecure districts in the province where insurgents have been active often carrying out Improvise Explosive Device attacks against Afghan and foreign troops."
